Art classes take place for adults of all ages in Delta's 900 sq ft teaching room. To date the focus has been on visual arts due to demand in this area; however Delta Studios provides a good facility for other art forms to be practiced.
Students enjoy a relaxed atmosphere each choosing their own creative path and working in their own chosen mediums. Classes are led mainly by Delta's Creative director Craig McKechnie. New students are enrolling all the time, some of whom have no previous experience in art. Students are invited to learn new skills and improve techniques. Some people are preparing portfolios for further education. Students also have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work at Delta's annual class exhibition.
Classes are conducted on a flexible ‘drop in basis' to suit the individual as an alternative to courses available at colleges and schools. Delta continually seeks to set new challenges and respond to the artistic and creative aspirations of those who attend
